The young intellectuals of Paris, worn down by the war years, danced in the underground jazz clubs, as philosophical and literary debates raged in the now iconic cafés above.

We will take you to some of the best addresses in the city throughout your tour, stopping, among many others, at one of the oldest chocolate makers in Paris. They once provided Queen Marie-Antoinette with chocolate coins that she would take to ease her distaste for her bad tasting medicines, and you will also be able to taste some of these fine chocolate coins during your visit. Nowadays some of the best contemporary pastry chefs and chocolatiers also have their boutiques in St Germain. Throughout our walk we’ll sample exquisite macarons, award winning chocolates, traditional and modern patisseries and much more - come hungry!
